All boards are hand signed and numbered by Paul Strauch and come with a custom "HAWAII" team logo on the deck.
For the 1965 world contest in Peru, George Downing made Paul two boards, a big wave board and a small wave board for the competition. Paul came in 3rd in the big wave event and first in the small wave event. The board shown in the above photo was the small wave board, and the inspiration behind the PS '65, a collaborative effort between Paul Strauch and Roger Hinds. The original Downing classic shape has been kept in tact as a classic small wave long board and modernized in the bottom rocker, nose, tail and rails allowing for effortless turns and maximum tip time.
